Mike Mafilios – Founder and Principal Consultant
Mike Mafilios is a medical writer with 30 years of experience in health economics research and consulting and founder of Health Economics Associates (HEA). Mike specializes in developing global value dossiers, AMCP dossiers, literature reviews, value briefs, value messages, manuscripts, abstracts, and scientific conference posters. He also designs health economic evaluations (i.e., cost-effectiveness models and budget impact models) to communicate the clinical, economic, and humanistic impact of new medical technologies to healthcare payers and providers. Mike has co-authored several papers and abstracts in leading medical journals on the costs and outcomes of innovative medical technologies and has conducted research in the areas of cardiovascular disease, immunology, infectious disease, oncology, obesity, nephrology, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, and urology.
Mike previously worked at Covance Health Economics & Outcomes Services as a senior medical writer and health economics research consultant. He received a B.A. from Georgetown University and also attended the Harvard School of Public Health’s Continuing Education Program in Cost-Effectiveness Analysis for Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals.
